Genesis · D&D character creation

Your first D&D character starts with an idea.

Describe who you want to play in ordinary words. Genesis turns your idea into a character with a printable sheet and a reference PDF — whether it’s your first adventure or your next one.

Character creation uses supported options from the 2024 SRD (5.2.1). Review your character before play. Independent, unofficial play aid. Bring only character sheets you have the right to use.

How Genesis works

From an idea to your character sheet.

01

Tell us your idea.

“A kindhearted fighter who protects their friends.” Start with a personality, a way of fighting, or a story. Add any character choices you already have in mind.

02

Review your character.

Genesis puts together your character using supported 2024 SRD options. Review the choices and ask for one fresh revision before you keep and unlock your PDFs.

03

Keep your two PDFs.

Get a printable character sheet and a reference PDF for that character. Save your private purchase link for one year of access, and download both files to keep.

Companion · Use your character during play

Have a character? Bring them to the table.

Companion gives your character a place to play: track resources, roll dice, and find key abilities when your turn comes around. It’s a separate, optional $3.99 purchase with one year of hosted access and an offline file you can keep.

Use the character you keep in Genesis, or upload an existing character sheet. You don’t need to create a new character to get a Companion.
